We took a puddle jumper from st. Marteen to Nevis. We waited on the taxi driver to come to the small airport to take us to Montpelier. It was the nicest most personable woman in the world. She took us all around the island and showed us what Nevis had to offer
When we pulled up, the giant oak trim lit from below beckoned us to the main building. It is over 300 yrs. Old. They offered us the token rum punch the island is known for and we were given the tour. The owner herself greeted us with the warmest of welcomes.
Our room is like an exotic plantation experience. Graceful draperies surround the bed and the bathroom is modern and fresh.
We went back to our room to freshen up then headed for dinner.
