Jennifer here. I wanted to share a creativity reenergizing experience I had just yesterday! One of my dearest friends allowed me to help design and set up her bedroom in her new house. We started with what we thought might be quite a challenge… You see, the room was not the largest room in the world and its existing dark brown walls did not lend much too it’s defense but we were determined to focus on the possibilities. The room had two large windows and a white brick accent wall! We dove in to the paint first. The color of choice…Benjamin Moore’s North Hampton Beige. I was truly amazed by the jaw dropping change that was made by just paint. With the accent brick wall and new ceiling to floor curtains, we were no longer in a 1970’s ranch style house but rather a Manhattan loft. We ran with this inspiration. We wanted to bring in pops of color to contrast the neutral walls and curtains. With gps in hand we set out on a hunt for some pieces that would enhance the room’s highlights and functionally make use of the space. I could not have been more pleased with the progress we made in just one day. There will be another road trip in the very near future to finish accessorizing and I can’t wait! Here are a few before and after pictures and one of the great finds we gathered on our furniture hunt. Stay tuned for the completed after pictures which will be coming soon!
